he became involved in politics at a young age with the aim of building a classless society. In his later years, he took responsibility and established this remarkable institution for the welfare of people. He tirelessly pursued any noble cause, never feeling fatigue. Even in his final years, Musa Miah remained actively engaged in the humanitarian work of the Zahedee Foundation. Bringing smiles to the faces of the suffering was his greatest joy, and his heart was always heavy with compassion for others.

He believed in doing selfless work for others, driven by a deep sense of responsibility and affection for humanity. He told his children, “Achieve what you can, but what remains beyond that should be considered for others.” In 2009, he, along with his capable children, founded this social organization focused on public welfare, with him as the chairman. It is registered under the NGO Affairs Bureau and the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms. His eldest son, Mohammad Naser Shahriar Zahedee, was appointed as the Executive Director, institutionalizing Musa Miah’s dream and life’s work.

Under the leadership of his children, the Zahedee Foundation has made significant strides. The foundation has been involved in educational infrastructure development across the country, establishing and managing educational institutions, providing scholarships for financially disadvantaged yet talented students, establishing skill development institutions for youth, and supporting the education and rehabilitation of children with special needs. It also provides educational materials and technological support to libraries throughout the country.

In the healthcare sector, the foundation has established diagnostic centers with advanced equipment for low-cost disease diagnosis and treatment for the underprivileged, and it offers institutional support to hospitals by providing modern diagnostic equipment and covering the costs of staff in various hospitals. Zahedee Foundation has been contributing to the country’s healthcare improvement efforts.

The foundation also established a football academy for the development of youth, offering free residential and non-residential training at its 50-acre field, producing professional athletes for the country. It regularly sponsors various sports events and undertakes social, cultural, and educational development activities in the community.

Additionally, the foundation has been working on establishing and developing religious institutions. It distributes winter clothes to the needy, conducts two large food distribution programs annually for women, children, and the destitute, and plays a leading role in tackling any humanitarian crisis in the country.
